Bobby didn't stay at ASP very long. It was a difficult adjustment for someone with his artistic talent to be unable to work. He was a potter all his life. Kay is so lucky to have some of his pieces. When he went back to the States he had an early morning flight, and I was going to accompany him to the airport. So of course we decided to stay up all night rather than get up before dawn. Not the first nor the last time I did that but this was especially insane. We covered a lot of territory and lost track of time completely but he did catch his flight. Of course in those days you could show up at the gate moments before departure and they'd let you on. I got a couple of letters from him, and I have some photos which I will post, but never saw him again. He's missed.
