Jerry Condon died in 1994, at about 42 years of age. He was out walking his dogs; returning home I believe he slipped on icy steps and died because of the resulting fall. The little I know is from a brief contact with his sister, Jane Condon Riley.
He was a chef and lived with his wife in Denver, Colorado. Jerry was an adventurous guy, even by 1960's standards. I met him when I arrived in spring of 69, and we actually arranged to go to Israel and work on a kibbutz that summer. There was a bus bombing in Jerusalem, life intervened, and the kibbutz did not happen. We were friends after ASP as he spent a summer in LA while visiting his sister. College for Jerry was Rockford, Illinois. Jerry was both a strange guy and a decent one. I hope those of you who were in the choir will miss him, I know he enjoyed the trips with your group.
I knew Jerry in choir and on the track team. He was an engaged and energetic guy. He had a wonderful tenor voice and had genuine talent as a athlete, a fact that I think surprised Jerry. I remember him fondly as one of the many diverse people we all had the privilege of attending high school with in Paris.
